Ah Ladybird books, once the pride of Loughborough.

I love how cool the Post Office Tower triangular ‘horn’ antenna looked before my time. When I was growing up I always thought of them as trapezium-shaped as they were partially coated a shot blue/purple - I have a model with plain triangles, but until last month I thought that was just a design feature of the toy.

Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd are my two major container crushes - these are wonderful.

I’m assuming this must be from upstairs at the Brynmor Jones Library. Hull’s so flat I don’t think there’s anywhere else I could have seen the clouds come in like this.

Postmodern gothic excess. London, March 2013.

Our first computer at home was an Atari, but we didn’t have a monitor & used the TV as a display instead. We played Crystal Castles ‘til it turned the TV permanently green and the way our parents got us to turn it off at night was by saying the helicopters audible most evenings were the ‘TV Licence Police’.

This building reminds me of Crystal Castles.

as it settled out into awkward karyotype.
